How is Vantiva preparing the future with AI?
Vantiva is improving its own processes and customer products with AI.
Our latest video and broadband products include AI machine learning neural processing units, which deliver “edge AI” processing within the end user’s home. The availability of this local processing improves security, privacy, and responsiveness. This allows useful customer support responses to be created within the product itself, along with fault analytics, content analysis, and enhanced user interaction.
For example, setting up a smart home becomes an intuitive breeze using the advanced interactive help assistant, based on a locally generated avatar from Vantiva. In everyday use, any service issues are detected, analyzed, and solutions proposed by the built-in AI. This reduces support costs and improves the end user experience.
How is Vantiva preparing the future of the STB? Are there any use cases or innovative devices that you have seen taking off as new concepts?
Vantiva serves a diverse global market. We’ve created compact products that can hide behind a TV, powered by the TV itself, allowing the traditional STB to “vanish” while still delivering true operator-grade high performance, including excellent Wi-Fi connectivity and a powerful, fluid UX on-screen.
The next innovation is to fully integrate the STB into the smart home by incorporating a Thread radio into the box and supporting Matter. This lets the STB bridge other smart home devices into the network and interact on the TV. It also allows the STB, or other devices, to enter ultra-low-power modes while maintaining connectivity, ready to wake up without needing a full Wi-Fi network running on every device all the time.
What is Vantiva’s roadmap plan for its OTT/IPTV product range?
Smarter, faster, more integrated, better value, and a continued focus on eco-friendly innovations, along with developments that improve accessibility and ease of use. All this while maintaining the quality, reliability, and support Vantiva is renowned for across the industry.
To get specific, we have our first Wi-Fi 7-enabled STBs. Wi-Fi 7 improves overall throughput but, most importantly, ensures a reliable connection in even the most challenging Wi-Fi environments. This isn’t just hype; Wi-Fi 7’s new Multi-Link-Operation mode allows us to keep a client Wi-Fi connection active in multiple separate Wi-Fi bands simultaneously, so even severe interference or congestion in one band can’t interrupt the video experience.
What features and use cases implemented by operators in other regions can help maintain stickiness?
Integrating all the globally popular and locally important content applications into the STB ensures the end user always uses the operator’s device, even when watching Netflix. This keeps the operator’s content just one click away, rather than on another, less-used HDMI input. Vantiva has integrated and certified the full range of popular OTT apps across our device roadmap and deployed these with operators worldwide.
Vantiva’s Soundscape soundbar includes premium Dolby Atmos audio, the most powerful STB processor available today, and stunning Dolby Vision video. Movie nights can be any night with full cinema-style sound and vision at home. Subscribers can’t imagine going back to limited TV audio after experiencing Soundscape.
